Pastor Knoll began serving at Shepherd of the Hills in August of 2011 and is overjoyed at the opportunity to help God’s people grow in their relationship with their Lord.  He especially enjoys preaching, teaching Bible class and confirmation class, and taking time to instruct those who do not know much about what Jesus did for them and what it means.  “I feel that Shepherd of the Hills has a lot to offer people of all ages, be the members of the church or just stopping by from the community.  We have a number of gifted, mature believers and a ton of young families.  It’s awesome that together we can go to our God and fine the comfort and peace that He gives through Jesus.”

Pastor was born in Appleton, and, after finishing school, was assigned to Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Columbus, Ohio.  “Customs and people were a little bit different down there, but wherever you go, you find people in despair, hurting due to guilt and uncertain about what the future holds.  But the message they needed to hear down there, is the message needed up here – Jesus is the answer to any and every problem.”  Pastor Knoll hopes that message comes across clearly in every sermon, class and devotion.

Pastor and his wife, Lori, have been married since 1999.  They have two grade school aged children – a son, Cooper, and a daughter, Avery.  The family loves spending time outside in the yard, fishing, playing sports, etc.  “From the moment we got here, everyone at Shepherd of the Hills was so welcoming.  I hope that everyone who walks through the doors at church always feels the same way,” says Lori.
